Nika Prevc is the world record holder! The Slovenian flew 236 meters on the Monsterbakken in Vikersund on Friday in the training jump, dethroning the previous record holder Silje Opseth from Norway (230.5 meters).

She has already secured the overall World Cup victory since Thursday, but on Friday Prevc crowned her season. In perfect conditions, the 19-year-old soared to 236 meters, setting a new benchmark in women's ski flying.

The Slovenian's record is by no means the first to be set in Vikersund. Stefan Kraft - the men's record holder - also set his mark of 253.5 meters on the Norwegian large hill.
