How the player search is going before the transfer deadline

The transfer window in Austrian soccer closes at midnight on Thursday. Will Carinthian Bundesliga clubs Austria Klagenfurt and WAC still be able to make a move? Have they found the striker they were looking for? Something could still happen in Wolfsberg, but not in Klagenfurt. All the answers can be found here.

Martin Hinteregger, Denzel Owusu, Sky Schwarz (now injured), Keanan Bennetts and Steven Juncaj - these are the names of Austria Klagenfurt's new signings so far this winter. The transfer window closes at midnight on Thursday. 

"I assume that nothing more will happen in terms of arrivals. As far as departures are concerned, the markets in certain countries are still open for longer," explained Austria Klagenfurt's sports boss Günther Gorenzel, who has only loaned Lee to Viktoria Berlin so far.

Violett is therefore not signing a center forward. "There were only a few that we were convinced would also fit financially. Before I risk an international experiment, we'll give our youngsters a chance," says Gorenzel, referring to 16-year-old Dino Delic. "He wasn't at the Malta camp for nothing. He knows where the goal is and is from our own academy."

With Bobzien and Binder, they have two real frontmen, Toshevski should be fit to play in three weeks. Jaritz or Bennetts are alternatives. Salzburg are coming on Sunday (2.30pm) - by then Violett will be back on the pitch in front of the Wörthersee Stadium.

The WAC - who were on the lookout for a striker and midfielder - brought in two African talents in Claude Kouako (20) and Aboubacar Sylla (21), while young professional Michi Morgenstern (back to Lendorf) was released. Something could still happen on the last day. Rapid await on Saturday (5pm).
