Ilzer probably has his sights set on the next ÖFB team player

Will Stefan Posch return to Hoffenheim? Initial talks are said to have already taken place between TSG sporting director Andreas Schicker, FC Bologna and the ÖFB international's entourage. 

Even though TSG Hoffenheim recently picked up important points with an important win against Holstein Kiel and a last-second equalizer against Eintracht Frankfurt, they are still stuck in the basement of the table. Coach Christian Ilzer, who continues to fear for his job, is therefore looking to strengthen his defense. 

ÖFB team player Posch should be a realistic option. The 27-year-old, who played for TSG until 2022 before moving to Bologna, is no longer a regular for the Italians under coach Vicenzo Italiano and could therefore be looking for a new challenge.

Time is gradually running out
As transfer expert Florian Plettenberg reports, initial talks about a possible move in January have already taken place. However, there is currently no agreement with either the player or the club. And time is pressing, as the transfer window is not open for much longer. 

In addition to Posch, another ÖFB team player, Gernot Trauner, is also still in Hoffenheim's sights. However, a quick transfer seems to be even more difficult.
