This will be Hamilton’s new race engineer at Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton's new race engineer at Ferrari has been confirmed.

After twelve years with Peter Bonnington at Mercedes, Hamilton will be working with Riccardo Adami at Ferrari. This is according to the Italian daily newspaper "Gazzetta dello Sport".

Adami was also the race engineer for Carlos Sainz and before that for Sebastian Vettel. The 50-year-old has been working in Formula 1 for 22 years and has been with Ferrari since 2015.

Hamilton takes a small team with him
According to the report, Hamilton also brings familiar faces with him to the traditional Italian team. A small team of photographers, trainers, security staff and a communications officer are to follow Hamilton to Ferrari. One of these names is former racing driver Marc Hynes, who plays an important role for Hamilton behind the scenes.

"He will give us a good boost," said Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur recently on the signing of Hamilton. "He certainly sees some things differently than we do - after his 18 years in Formula 1 and with the successes he has achieved. Such a perspective is important for our development."

Hamilton's big goal is to win his eighth world championship title, which he was no longer able to achieve at Mercedes. With seven world championships won, he is still on a par with Michael Schumacher.
