Murder alert in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus: a 72-year-old man from Turkey was found dead in the bathroom of his apartment on Sunday morning. According to investigators, the injuries and the evidence suggest that the death was caused by someone else. The family is suspected of the crime.

A veritable "massacre" is said to have revealed itself to the officers of the criminal investigation department in a Viennese apartment on Sunday morning. The victim was a Turkish citizen. The 72-year-old was lying in a pool of blood when he was found on Sunday at around 10.30 a.m. According to the police, the bathroom allegedly showed clear signs of a violent crime.

Police assume homicide
Based on the preliminary autopsy results, the police also assume that the death was caused by someone else. The criminal investigation department is therefore investigating on suspicion of a homicide. However, there was initially no official information about the exact cause of death - the police emphasized that this was the knowledge of the perpetrator.

Children confirm the mother's alibi
On Monday morning, the crime scene was still being investigated and the victim's extended family was questioned. The wife stated that she had spent the night with friends - the five children confirmed the grieving wife's alibi.

Despite everything, the pensioner's immediate family is likely to remain in the crosshairs of the local investigators. However, according to a police spokeswoman when asked by the "Krone", there are no previous convictions. The investigation is still in full swing.
