This is Salzburg’s opponent in the Youth League

Salzburg will play the U19s of Celtic Glasgow in the round of 16 of the Youth League. This was the result of the draw in Nyon. The Scots finished 17th in the table, Salzburg in third place.

The young bulls were able to follow the draw for the round of 16 from their vacation. At the UEFA headquarters in Nyon (Sz), it emerged that Salzburg will host Celtic Glasgow U19 at home on February 11 or 12. The round of 16 will take place on March 4 or 5. "If we bring our game to the pitch, we can hurt anyone," says coach Daniel Beichler, relying on his own strength.

The Scots finished the league phase in 17th place with three wins and just as many defeats, while Salzburg finished third in the knockout round with five wins and one draw - the role of the favorites is clear. Two goalscorers in particular are in the spotlight: Phillip Verhounig scored eight times for Salzburg in the fall, while Celtic's squad includes Daniel Cummings, a Scottish youngster who scored six times.

In addition to Salzburg, two other Austrian teams are represented in the knockout round: Rapid will host Atlético Madrid in a cracker, while Sturm have to face Lokomotiva Zagreb.
