Alarm in department store: burglary with almost three per mille

Heavily intoxicated - with almost three per mille - a 23-year-old man gained entry to a shopping center in Vienna-Penzing on Sunday. The alarm was triggered and the police arrived. The burglar was soon in handcuffs. 

The alerted police had to force open a roller shutter in the department store in Albert-Schweitzer-Gasse on Sunday to catch the thief. The suspect was an Austrian, only 23 years old, who appeared to be heavily intoxicated. He was found to have 2.8 per mille alcohol in his blood and was provisionally arrested by the police. 

According to the Vienna police, the suspect was released after questioning by order of the Vienna public prosecutor's office.
