Entry of Pierer and Mateschitz delayed

This news will fuel the rumor mill once again: The investment in Rosenbauer by Stefan Pierer, Mark Mateschitz and two companies of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich has been delayed. The planned deal will no longer be completed this year, but probably not until the first quarter of 2025.

Robau, founded by Pierer Industrie AG, Mark Mateschitz's investment company and two companies of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich, is paying 119 million euros for the share package in Rosenbauer, which will enable it to acquire a stake in the fire equipment supplier.

In a second step, the company led by Stefan Pierer, Red Bull heir Mark Mateschitz and Raiffeisen Upper Austria even wants to secure a majority stake in the company from Leonding (Upper Austria).

Approval of relevant countries still missing
But the deal has been delayed! However, it is apparently not the European restructuring process at Pierer Industrie AG that was initiated just a few days ago that is to blame, but the lack of regulatory approvals required for such a deal, which means that the acquisition and the associated capital increase at Rosenbauer will no longer take place this year as planned. The green light has already been given by the EU and the USA, but other relevant countries are still missing.

It is now expected that the capital increase will be completed in the first quarter of 2025. This also requires a new resolution by the Executive Board and renewed approval by the Supervisory Board.
