Thuram praises Arnautovic

Inter Milan continue unbeaten streak

Inter Milan extended their unbeaten run to 13 competitive matches on Friday evening. 

The employers of unused Austrian striker Marko Arnautovic won 3-1 in front of their own fans against Parma to open the 15th round of Serie A and remain third in the league, three points behind Atalanta Bergamo for the time being. The new leaders climbed past Napoli into first place thanks to a 2:1 win at Inter's local rivals AC Milan.

Like Inter, the previous leaders have only played 14 games and are in action on Sunday against Lazio Roma. Federico Dimarco (40'), Nicolo Barella (53') and Marcus Thuram (66') opened up a comfortable lead, before an own goal from Matteo Darmian (81') at least cosmeticized the result for the eleventh-placed visitors.

Thuram praised Arnautovic and others after the final whistle. "Things are going well, but I still have a lot to learn. I'm working hard with my team-mates and following the advice of Martinez and Arnautovic, who are helping me to improve," said the Inter striker. The next hurdle is Bayer Leverkusen away from home in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Thanks to goals from Charles de Ketelaere (12) and Ademola Lookman (87), Atalanta are unbeaten in 14 games, longer than Inter, and recorded their ninth league win en suite against Milan. Milan are now twelve points behind the leaders and are only seventh.
