Hospital employee struck down with a crossbow

A man injured a hospital employee (50) at the Hardtwaldklinik in the Schwalm-Eder district with a crossbow so severely that she died. The 58-year-old suspect was arrested on Thursday night.

According to the police, the man entered the hospital in Bad Zwesten at around 3 p.m. and injured a 50-year-old female employee with a crossbow so severely that she died despite immediate medical assistance on site.

Suspect was a patient in the clinic
The suspect comes from the district of Passau (Bavaria) and was a former patient at the clinic, according to the newspaper "Bild". He was arrested during the night at a highway service area on the A3 in the Lower Franconia region.
