A 25-year-old man paid in a brothel in Vienna-Hernals with counterfeit green bills. More of them were found at his home. He is now begging the judge in the Viennese countryside: "I want to go home as soon as possible. I don't want to stay here anymore."

A rude awakening in a brothel - as the public prosecutor described it in her indictment - on the Hernalser Gürtel in Vienna. A swipe with the money check pen revealed that a punter paid 200 euros with flowers. During a search of the 25-year-old's house, 15 more fake green bills were found - in addition to a fake Greek ID card and a knuckleduster.

Backer remains unknown
In Landl in Vienna, the Albanian admits: "The money is mine." But: "I earned it in the black on the building site." However, he quickly changed his statement when Mr. Rat pointed him to chat messages. "I knew it. I got the bills from a Turk. He gave me this money."

But he doesn't know his name - which the public prosecutor is very interested in. "I apologize for everything I've done. If I see the man on the street, I'll report him to the police," he promises the judge.

Eight months in prison
Because he confessed to being remorseful, the young man did not receive a legally binding sentence of 24 months, eight of which were spent in prison. His request after the sentence was handed down: "I want to go home as soon as possible. I don't want to stay here anymore. When will I be deported?"
