Hotel employee (29) repeatedly reached into the till

Opportunity makes thieves - this old adage proved to be true at a hotel in Tyrol: an employee (29) is said to have repeatedly reached into the cash register and stolen several tens of thousands of euros.

Between August and September, several cash thefts in the high five-digit euro range were committed at the hotel in the Landeck district. Intensive police investigations followed and have now led to the thief.

Suspect may have absconded
A 29-year-old Hungarian has now been identified as the suspect. "The hotel employee has not yet been questioned about the facts of the case. He is likely to have gone abroad in the meantime," said the police.
