“Together for St. Egyden” should bring votes

The former ÖVP deputy mayor Christa Tisch is now founding a new independent citizens' list in St. Egyden am Steinfeld to contest the elections in January. Differences with the current ÖVP mayor Wilhelm Terler are one of the reasons for this step. 

Until March, Christa Tisch was still ÖVP deputy mayor in St. Egyden am Steinfeld, district of Neunkirchen, with a population of 2,200. She then threw in the towel due to differences with ÖVP mayor Wilhelm Terler and became non-attached. As a result, Terler and his party lost their absolute majority.

Now Tisch is forming a new list with the name "Together for St. Egyden". Also on it: Balint Gazdag and Stefan Wagner, also non-attached and formerly ÖVP mandataries, as well as Sabine Samel-Holzer and Richard Winkler.

 "Honesty, transparency, away from the free-for-all and a sensible approach to finances," says party spokesperson Stefan Wagner. Other plans include reactivating club and cultural life and pushing ahead with the expansion of fiber optics. "We are confident that we will be able to help decide who becomes the new mayor after the election," says Wagner.

Due to the growing population in St. Egyden, there will be 21 instead of the previous 19 mandates in January.
