Two burglaries

Attention: thieves struck again in Carinthia

There were two burglaries on Thursday in the districts of St. Veit and Feldkirchen. The thieves broke into homes and stole jewelry and handbags - a connection cannot be ruled out. 

The brazen thieves did not seek the cover of darkness - they broke in during the day on Thursday. The as yet unknown perpetrators were first active in a residential building in Feldkirchen. The uninvited guests tried to break in through the balcony door and window, causing damage to property. "It is not yet known whether anything was stolen because the occupants are currently away," the police report.

It continued in the afternoon in the St. Veit district. The perpetrators also broke into a house and ransacked cupboards and drawers inside. Some jewelry and several handbags were stolen. As an exact list is still outstanding, the amount of damage is not yet known. "It cannot be ruled out whether the break-ins are connected," said the police.
