Hotel employee fell from balcony while drunk

Someone has clearly been drinking too much - and in broad daylight: an apparently drunk employee of a Tyrolean hotel fell almost four meters from the balcony of his staff room on Thursday afternoon and was seriously injured.

According to the police, the hotel employee was alone in his staff room in Hintertux in the Zillertal (Schwaz district) on Thursday. "Shortly before 2 p.m., he fell around three to four meters over the balcony of his staff room onto the paved emergency exit below, presumably due to heavy drinking," said the police.

Flown to hospital
After first aid, the man had to be flown to hospital in Schwaz by emergency helicopter. He apparently suffered serious injuries to his head and right arm.
