Vitasek: Swagger, crises and red sneakers

His red sneakers shone as he took to the stage of the Posthof in Linz to a song by David Bowie: Andreas Vitasek thrilled audiences with his new program "Spätlese" (Late Harvest), taking sideswipes at the latest scandals, such as the Dornauer posse. A great performance at the Linz cabaret festival!

Andreas Vitasek wowed the packed Posthof in Linz on two evenings with his new program "Spätlese".

He wrapped punchlines in a cloak of melancholy and returned to his great strength: bitterly wicked humor based on his own experiences. He served up three thematic blocks, offering, among other things, coping punchlines on the corona crisis, looking back on his own childhood and youth, on the Jesolo vacation or the Bob Dylan concert.

Current affairs and nostalgia
Enthusiastic about the local color of Linz, there were of course no shortage of tips on the LIVA scandal in the Brucknerhaus ("a ship without a captain"). And he also commented on the Dornauer farce. Current affairs and nostalgia go perfectly together with Vitasek.

The best satire that got to the heart of the matter - and all in new red sneakers. The Linz cabaret festival will be bringing the latest cabaret stars to the Kulturhaus im Hafen until the end of November, including Benedikt Mittmannsgruber, Stefan Leonhardsberger, Gernot Kulis and Alfred Dorfer. Much is already sold out, but not everything!
