Car crashed head-on into bridge railing

Serious accident in Bichlbach in the Tyrolean district of Reutte on Wednesday! The German driver (30) of a car left the road and crashed into the railing of a bridge. He was not the only one injured in the crash.

The accident happened shortly before 10 pm. The 30-year-old was driving his car on the B179 in the direction of Fernpass. A 31-year-old German woman was in the passenger seat. "At road kilometer 25.06, the driver skidded, left the road and collided head-on with a bridge railing next to the road," according to the police.

The car was badly damaged in the accident and had to be towed away.

First aid provided by an emergency doctor
A Moroccan truck driver (53) driving behind the car tried to avoid the car parked across the road. "The right side of the truck grazed the car." The occupants of the car were seriously injured in the crash. After first aid by the emergency doctor, they were taken to hospital.

The car was badly damaged in the accident and had to be towed away. The B179 was completely closed for around an hour.
