After a violent crash: young woman had to go to hospital

A serious traffic accident on Tuesday evening in the Tyrolean Stubai Valley: two cars collided near Mieders. A 19-year-old female driver suffered injuries and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. Two other people escaped more lightly.

The accident happened at around 8.45 pm on the Stubaital road (B183) near Mieders. A 58-year-old local man was driving his car from Fulpmes in the direction of Schönberg and wanted to turn off at Moos.

"A 19-year-old Austrian woman following behind wanted to pass the man's car during the turning maneuver. This resulted in a collision between the two vehicles," reported the police.

The 19-year-old female driver complained of pain in her neck and chest area. She was taken to hospital by ambulance for examination.

Cars severely damaged
The 58-year-old driver of the car and a companion of the young woman were uninjured. Both vehicles sustained considerable material damage. They had to be towed away from the scene of the accident.
