Test license holder on the road on drugs

During traffic checks in the Innergebirg region yesterday, the police noticed several drivers. A 21-year-old probationary driver's license holder was clearly speeding and also had drugs in his blood.

In Saalfelden, the police noticed a car driving at excessive speed on Saturday. The driver, a 21-year-old Austrian with a probationary driving license, behaved very conspicuously during the check. A rapid drug test showed a positive result for cannabis and amphetamine. The medical examination revealed that the 21-year-old was unfit to drive. He had to park his car and also surrender his driver's license.

There were also several, sometimes drastic, speeding violations on the B311 (Pinzgauer Straße). A 39-year-old German was measured at 163 km/h in a 100 km/h speed limit. He had to park his car and temporarily surrender his driver's license.

Another driver was driving at 156 km/h on this section of road. He could not be stopped due to the traffic situation. He will be reported to the police and must expect to have his driver's license revoked.

In Pongau, police officers checked the 80 km/h limit on the Tauernautobahn (A10) in the area of the Flachau construction site. A 47-year-old Italian citizen was traveling at 130 km/h there. He was prohibited from continuing his journey and his driver's license was temporarily confiscated on the spot.
