Singer Britney Spears has married herself

Britney Spears is making headlines again: In an Instagram video, the 42-year-old singer declared that she had "married herself".

One year after her divorce from Sam Asghari, the pop star posed in a white silk wedding dress and a lace veil on Sunday. But instead of marrying a groom, the "Toxic" singer announced that she was dedicating the special day to herself.

"Most brilliant thing I've ever done!"
"The day I married myself ... maybe embarrassing or stupid, but I think it's the most brilliant thing I've ever done!" she wrote.

In the video, which is accompanied by the song "Fields of Gold" by Sting, Britney presents herself in her bridal look with blonde waves, black high heels and a gold necklace. She also posted a picture of an empty church, which she left uncommented.
