Loan paid late: forced auction canceled

The planned auction of a plot of land in the luxury chalet project at Pass Thurn due to an unpaid loan was canceled practically at the last minute.

At the last moment, Michael Staininger, co-owner of the luxury chalet project at Pass Thurn, paid back a loan that had been overdue for years. As reported, a 600-square-metre plot of land owned by a company in which Staininger holds a majority stake was to be foreclosed on Monday at the chalet construction site in Mittersill.

The 400,000 euro loan from a Salzburg bank has now apparently been settled and the forced auction was canceled on Thursday. The property is now to be integrated into the large-scale chalet project, Staininger announced. Completion of the luxury resort is currently planned for 2027.
