In the seventh round of the English Premier League, league leaders Liverpool scrambled to a 1:0 victory against Crystal Palace. Glasner's side produced a strong display and took the lead after just 20 seconds, only to have it disallowed for offside. Diogo Jota then scored the decisive goal for Liverpool in the 9th minute. Palace missed a number of good chances and therefore missed out on at least a point.

Liverpool continue to lead the way in the English Premier League. The Reds won 1:0 (1:0) at Oliver Glasner's Crystal Palace on Saturday. In the first seven rounds under Klopp's successor Arne Slot, Liverpool only conceded points once (0:1 Nottingham Forest).

The lead over Manchester City and Arsenal was initially four points. Coach Glasner's Eagles, who are still winless, are in the relegation zone with just three points.

Glasner under pressure?
A goal from Diogo Jota, who scored from close range after being played in by Cody Gakpo (9'), made the difference in south London. Despite dominating the game, Liverpool failed to add an early 2-0. The hosts had a sniff at an equalizer in the second half, but Liverpool's Alisson was also a reliable back-up. The Brazilian goalkeeper had to be substituted in the final stages with a thigh injury. Vitezslav Jaros, who played in goal for Austrian champions Sturm Graz in the spring, replaced him.

Glasner had won his only previous clash with Liverpool 1-0 away at Anfield Road in April. This season, however, the team is struggling on the offensive. Only five goals have been scored in seven games.
