"I will never forgive you for what you did to my son today!" After Dortmund's 7:1 goal show against Celtic Glasgow, goalkeeping legend Peter Schmeichel took a tongue-in-cheek swipe at BVB attacker Karim Adeyemi.

On Tuesday evening, Dortmund, led by Adeyemi, played themselves into a frenzy right up to the break (5:1). The ex-Salzburg man in a BVB shirt overcame the Danish team keeper Kasper Schmeichel in the Celtic goal with a deflected shot (11'), a thunderbolt from a half-left position (29'), dry as dust from the edge of the box (42') and took the penalty before Serhou Guirassy made it 4:1 (40').

After the break, however, the hero of the day was ruled out with a thigh injury.

Adeyemi then met Peter Schmeichel, the father of the Celtic goalie, on US broadcaster CBS. The interview with Adeyemi got off to a cheerful start: "I will never forgive you for what you did to my son today," said Schmeichel. A threat? No, a statement by the former world-class keeper that was not, of course, meant seriously.

And what is Adeyemi's secret of success from Tuesday evening? "My wife made broccoli, maybe that's why," the attacker laughed to the journalists present.
