Once up and down the Streif – on foot

Just under two weeks to go until the World Extreme Run Challenge in Kitzbühel! On October 12, the participants will be aiming for nothing less than conquering the legendary Streif. Up and down. On foot.

The organizing association "sports4everybody", led by extreme sports legend Sepp Resnik, is tackling the fourth edition of this spectacular event. The ingenious thing is that the original Streif will only be open to all participants from the finish jump on October 12. A total of 8800 meters and 950 vertical meters have to be covered and completed. The winners of previous years managed this - no joke - in less than an hour.

Celebrities in the field of participants
Celebrities will also be among the participants. Among others this year: record marathon runner Julia Mayer, mountain running star Christian Stern, boxing world champion Michaela Kotásková, boxing hero Marcos Nader, mountain bike extreme pro Lukas Kaufmann (2nd in this year's Race Across America) and the strongest man in the world Franz Müllner.

To the registration:

Book presentation
The "warm-up", so to speak, starts on Friday. An exclusive book presentation by international soccer expert Heinz Palme with his book "Des Kaisers General" will take place at 7 pm at the "Phönix am Hornplatzl" at the Hornbahn. There will also be an after-race party at the Phönix on Saturday evening as part of the Oktoberfest there.
