Boris Johnson should persuade Harry to stay

According to his own statements, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was supposed to persuade Prince Harry not to leave his homeland after all.

He was supposed to have a conversation with him between men, reported the Daily Mail newspaper, citing Johnson's memoirs, which are due to be published in October. In it, the Conservative politician claims that representatives from Downing Street and Buckingham Palace believed in January 2020 that he could change Harry's mind

"Absolutely hopeless"
Johnson described this as a ridiculous approach: "Absolutely hopeless", the newspaper quoted him as saying.

Emigrated to the USA
Prince Harry - the younger son of King Charles III - stepped down from his royal duties almost five years ago and left the country with his wife Duchess Meghan.

The two now live in the USA with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

One reason for the withdrawal was the tabloid media's treatment of Meghan and threats. The couple also made accusations against members of the Royal Family.

According to the Daily Mail, the meeting with Johnson took place on the fringes of a business summit in London.

"Unleashed"
Johnson was British Prime Minister from 2019 to 2022. His memoirs "Unleashed" are due to be published on October 10 - the title translates as "Unleashed".

The tabloid newspaper "Daily Mail" wants to publish excerpts in advance. Johnson also writes regular columns for the paper.
