Fraudster makes off with excavator

Brazen fraud or theft in Klagenfurt: A suspect "borrowed" several construction machines from a company and never returned them. Tracked down in Hungary!  

Apparently with a false ID, the suspect walked into the machine rental company in Klagenfurt. According to the alleged Slovenian, he needed two small excavators, suitable accessories, a trailer for transportation and a vibratory plate for work on a construction site in the Völkermarkt district.

The deal was closed - but after the return date had passed by several days and the hirer was suddenly no longer available, the company owner became suspicious. And he tracked one of the rented excavators using GPS. Lo and behold, the last location of the machine was in Hungary. The victim filed a complaint and the (cross-border) investigation is now in full swing.
