Cyclist crashed into the windshield of a truck

A cyclist had a stroke of luck late on Monday afternoon in Innsbruck: the 21-year-old was hit by a turning truck at an intersection, but escaped with minor injuries. 

The 21-year-old cyclist was riding along Dr.-Stumpf-Straße at around 5.30 p.m. on Monday when a truck came towards him. The driver (50) wanted to turn left at the junction with Ingenuin-Fischer-Straße and overlooked the cyclist. A collision occurred, causing the 21-year-old to crash into the windshield of the truck and sustain minor injuries. 

The ambulance took the young man to hospital. His bicycle and the truck were damaged in the accident.
