Snowfields were the trio’s undoing: helicopter arrived

Mission for the police helicopter in Tyrol on Sunday! Three German hikers - two men aged 25 and a woman (25) - got into an alpine emergency in the municipality of Weißenbach am Lech. They were flown down into the valley.

The trio were on the Saalfelder Höhenweg south of the Kälbelesspitze summit. "According to their own statements, the alpinists had difficulty crossing the snow fields there," reported the police. Consequently, the three hikers made an emergency call.

The police helicopter rushed to the rescue and flew the trio down to the valley unharmed.
