"With short-time work, we are enabling companies that are affected by a prolonged plant closure to temporarily register their employees for short-time work," said Kocher.
According to the Chamber of Labor, the calculation of short-time work support for employees is based on an 88 percent gross replacement rate, which on average leads to a 90 percent net replacement rate. Working hours must be reduced by at least ten percent to a maximum of 90 percent.
