Fire in garage: Stove accidentally switched on

Fire alarm on Monday afternoon in Imsterberg in Tyrol! The local fire department had to be called out after a stove in a garage suddenly caught fire, presumably by mistake.

The sirens were wailing in Imsterberg (Imst district) at around 12.40 pm. "A fire probably started in the rear area of a garage due to a stove that was accidentally switched on," said the police.

Owner extinguished the flames himself
The owner of the house immediately informed the fire department and brought the fire under control with a fire extinguisher before the Floriani firefighters arrived. "There was considerable damage to property. However, no people were injured," said the executive.
