Lightning pre-match planning seven hours before the derby

Heavy rain and storms for hours! But it looks like soccer fans can still prepare for the game. The FC Blau-Weiß - LASK derby may have been shaky, but after an assessment by the referee at 12.30 pm, it seems clear: "It will be played!" 

So now it seems to be fixed: The Linz derby between Blau-Weiß Linz and LASK will take place - this is what referee Manuel Schüttengruber said to the "Krone" at 12.53 pm after he had inspected the pitch at 12.30 pm: "No problem, the pitch is dry," he added.

In fact, the game seems so safe that referee Harald Lechner cancels the scheduled 3.30 p.m. pre-match inspection. According to "Krone" information, he will only arrive at the stadium at 4.30 pm.

Blue & White boss: "Doing everything!"
 Late in the morning, Blue & White managing director Christoph Peschek said: "We as a club are continuing to try everything to ensure that the derby can take place." He continued: "The match can only be called off by the referee or the authorities. But so far there has been no objection from the authorities!"
