Changed sides: New job for Oliver Kahn

For decades, the media wrote about him on a weekly basis, but now Oliver Kahn himself is joining the ranks of columnists. As the former Bayern goalie and later manager announced in a press release, he will be writing for the German edition of "Sports Illustrated" magazine in future.

"I am very pleased about the collaboration and look forward to contributing to the German edition with my articles on the global soccer business," said Kahn. Soccer fans will be able to read the first article by the "Titan" in the next issue, while the former DFB goalkeeper gave an in-depth interview to the sports magazine in the current issue.

"Not only is he one of the best goalkeepers of all time, but with his business expertise and experience, he is also one of the most profound connoisseurs of the soccer business in Germany," says editor-in-chief Christoph Landsgesell, who is also delighted to welcome the 55-year-old on board. 

After his active career, Kahn worked as managing director at FC Bayern from 2021. He was dismissed before the last game of the season on May 27, 2023.
