Police on strike! Ajax hit against Utrecht canceled

Police strikes in the Netherlands on Monday led to the cancellation of Ajax Amsterdam's second league match on the original date. Ajax v Utrecht will not be played at the Johan-Cruyff-Arena next Sunday due to security concerns. 

The same reason was given for the cancellation of the classic Feyenoord Rotterdam v Ajax match. Without extensive protection, security around the stadium could not be guaranteed.

Among other things, the police officers are demanding better opportunities for early retirement and have announced that they will continue their strike until they achieve an improvement in their situation with their demands.
