Crashed into crash barrier: Two men dead

A terrible accident on Sunday evening in the Mühlviertel region. A 43-year-old crashed his motorcycle and skidded across the road. The driver and his passenger were thrown against the crash barrier. Both succumbed to their serious injuries at the scene. The 43-year-old is a well-known racing driver in the scene.

A 43-year-old from Eferding was riding his light motorcycle along the B 132 towards Feldkirchen shortly after 7 p.m. on Sunday. A 37-year-old man from Feldkirchen was on the pillion. In the Bad Mühllacken municipal area, the rider lost control of his vehicle, crashed, skidded along the road and crashed into a crash barrier.

Well known in the scene
The 37-year-old was also thrown against the crash barrier. Tragically, despite resuscitation attempts by the emergency doctor, both men suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the accident.

According to information from "Krone", the 43-year-old who died in the accident was the well-known racing driver Wolfgang G.. The sportsman even won the Landshaag hill climb once and was one of the stars there every year. The second casualty is said to have been his former mechanic.
