Alpine farmers discovered a total of ten dead sheep in Hintermuhr and Bramberg at the weekend. Wolf representative Hubert Stock moved out and immediately made up his mind: "The tracks are clear, it was a wolf."  

Nevertheless, DNA samples were taken. These should provide additional information about the wolf. 

The situation with the dead animals in Thomatal, also in Lungau, is less clear. Two dead sheep were discovered there almost two weeks ago, and three sheep and two goats are also missing. 

Stock: "Here the crack pattern is much less clear. Only DNA analysis can bring clarity." However, the results are still pending.
