Werder Bremen coach Ole Werner has reacted with incomprehension to the criticism of his players Marco Friedl and Marvin Ducksch, which has since been toned down. 

"I believe that the comments were neither helpful nor correct in terms of content or form," the coach of the German Bundesliga club told the multimedia portal "Deichstube" after the 2:3 in the test at second division side Preußen Münster.

Initially, both captain Friedl and top performer Ducksch had criticized the coaching team's decisions in the draw against Borussia Dortmund and the club's transfer policy.

Bremen cannot settle down
After a meeting with the sporting management led by Clemens Fritz, they both backtracked on some points. "I've taken note of that, and otherwise I'm quite well advised to concentrate on the sport and on the things that we can influence directly," said Werner

Bremen had started the league season with a 2-2 draw at FC Augsburg and a 0-0 draw against Dortmund. After the unexpected point win against this year's Champions League finalists, Werner said: "The fact that we've managed to open up another barrel again is something you can probably only experience at SV Werder Bremen these days."
