Mystery surrounding stolen car that turned up again

A curious car theft is keeping the Tyrolean police busy: a car was stolen at Lake Achensee at the weekend, but on Monday morning it was found completely intact around eleven kilometers from the scene of the crime. Even the key was in it. However, there is still no trace of the perpetrator.

The car was stolen in Maurach am Achensee on Friday evening between 5.30 and 6 pm. A manhunt launched immediately was unsuccessful. The police estimated the damage at more than 10,000 euros.

Car discovered in Jenbach
While the owner first had to realize the theft over the weekend, he was able to breathe a sigh of relief on Monday. His car was found. "The vehicle, which had been reported stolen, was discovered in a parking lot in Jenbach at around 8.15 am. It has since been returned to the owner," reported the police.

Everything complete and undamaged
The car remained undamaged. Nothing was stolen from the interior either. The vehicle key was still in the car. There is still no trace of the perpetrator. The police are still investigating.
