Piles of driftwood caught fire in Lustenau

The Floriani firefighters had to be deployed in Lustenau on Tuesday evening. Two piles of wood were on fire in the Rhine foreland - the cause of the fire is still unknown. 

At around 10 p.m. on Tuesday evening, the fire department's operations center received a report of a fire in Lustenau. More precisely, in the Rhine foreland behind the "Habsburg" inn. Flames were leaping into the sky there.

When the emergency services arrived on the scene, they discovered that two piles of driftwood had caught fire behind the restaurant. Thanks to the rapid intervention, more trouble was prevented, the fire was quickly contained and fortunately no one was injured.
