This mishap could have ended fatally. A pot forgotten on the stove caused a massive amount of smoke to develop in an apartment in Innsbruck. The occupant was asleep in the bedroom. She was found there by the fire department.

At around 7.30 p.m., the massive smoke development occurred in the apartment in an apartment building in Planötzenhofstraße. Neighbors raised the alarm. "After the fire department entered the apartment wearing heavy breathing protection, a pot left on the stove was found to be the cause," said the police.

Resident rescued outside
The 40-year-old occupant was then found asleep in the bedroom, which had also been penetrated by thick smoke. The woman was then immediately taken outside by the emergency services.

Did not want to go to hospital
She probably got off lightly once again. "After being examined by the emergency services, she refused to be taken to hospital", the investigators continued.

The smoky apartment was ventilated by the fire department. Fortunately, no one was injured, according to the police.
