Motorcyclist crashed into a pasture fence and died

Blinded by the sun, a biker from Altmünster drove straight ahead in a left-hand bend in St. Lorenz am Mondsee at around 5.15 p.m. on Friday and crashed into a pasture fence at around 70 km/h. The 35-year-old could not be resuscitated. The 35-year-old could no longer be resuscitated.

The 35-year-old from Altmünster was driving his motorcycle on the L539 from Keuschen in the direction of Thalgau at 5.10 p.m. on Friday. In a left-hand bend, he left the road without braking, broke through a fence beam and subsequently came to rest in the adjacent meadow. Several first responders immediately began first aid measures. 

Resuscitation was unsuccessful
A short time later, the C14 rescue helicopter arrived and continued the resuscitation measures, which were unsuccessful. As to the course of the accident itself, people following the accident victim were able to state that the 35-year-old was driving straight ahead at around 70 km/h without braking. At the time, the sun was blinding and no skid marks were visible on the road. The motorcycle was a total loss.
