Two bikers fatally injured in head-on crash

The rescue services in neighboring Switzerland near Gais could do nothing more for the two seriously injured motorcyclists. A 22-year-old biker who veered into the oncoming lane on a long right-hand bend died, as did the 18-year-old who was coming towards him.

A third motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in the accident, which occurred shortly after 7 p.m. on Thursday evening on Stoßstraße. Like the 22-year-old, the man was riding in a group. He crashed due to the vehicle parts lying around and was flown to hospital after first aid.
