"It's a 'never ending story'": Ski star Aleksander Aamodt Kilde spoke out via Instagram on Tuesday and announced that he had suffered another setback on his way back to the top of the world.

Three weeks ago, the Norwegian, who was seriously injured in a crash in the Wengen downhill in January, had to go to hospital and undergo antibiotic treatment because he was struggling with a persistent infection following shoulder surgery.

Kilde is still not rid of it and had to return to hospital, as he announced in an Instagram video on Tuesday. The healing process is a "never-ending story" and he simply has to keep fighting. However, you can tell that the likeable speed specialist is becoming increasingly frustrated by the many setbacks.

We can only hope that his path back to the top of the world will run smoothly over the next few months and that Mikaela Shiffrin's fiancé will soon be able to join the circus.
