Automatically fresh laundry for small hotels

An Austrian start-up company is helping small hotels and guesthouses with an innovative laundry concept. The aim is to save businesses time and energy.

While larger accommodation providers have their laundry washed by cleaning companies, small hotels, apartment buildings or private landlords often have to clean sheets, covers and the like themselves. This is usually due to contractual obligations and minimum purchase quantities.

Clean solution without commitment
"This often doesn't pay off for small seasonal businesses," explains Claudia Schwarz from Wäschebox, which also has a location in Pörtschach. The Austrian start-up company has found a solution for small businesses. "You can pick up as much laundry as you need from us. We have no contractual obligations," explains Schwarz in an interview with the "Krone" newspaper.

Computer counts the laundry mountain
And the Graz-based company's systems are quite something. "Everything runs fully automatically. From registration to picking up and returning the laundry." This is because a computer counts the dirty laundry and the clean laundry, which the tour operators take back with them. "Billing is then simply done by debit or credit card," explains Schwarz.

With the laundry box, the company not only wants to help save time, but also energy. In addition to Pörtschach, there are now also locations in Radstadt, Vienna and Krems.
