An incident in Vienna's Stadionbad swimming pool leaves us speechless: a 13-year-old boy was allegedly threatened with being killed by a man (50). The man then allegedly asked him to perform sexual acts first on himself and then on him. The suspect was caught thanks to witnesses.

The horrific assault took place on Wednesday. The man is said to have asked the boy in a shower area to first touch himself and then the 50-year-old on his body.

Witnesses immediately became aware of the incident and the suspect tried to flee. Fortunately without success - he was stopped by the guests.

Strong suspicion of the crime
"Together with the pool's security service, the witnesses stopped the suspected perpetrator until the police arrived. They arrested the man on the urgent suspicion of serious sexual abuse of a minor," confirmed police spokesman Markus Dittrich. 

The 50-year-old has so far refused to make a statement. He was taken to a prison. According to the Ministry of the Interior, he is a Serbian citizen with legal residence in Austria. The Federal Office for Immigration and Asylum has "initiated measures to terminate his stay".
