Diabetes cases are on the rise among small children. A big task for parents and communities, as in the case of little Adrian in St. Gilgen (Salzburg). As his parents work and the boy needs constant care, the town is now looking for an extra carer for the crèche.

It was a shock for Adrian's parents (2). He was diagnosed with diabetes at 15 months. They have to get their son safely through childhood until he can take care of his own sugar levels. The little one is not an isolated case. There are more and more under-fives with type 1 diabetes.
