E-scooter rider died after mysterious accident

The cause of a fatal accident involving an e-scooter in Tyrol is completely unclear. A witness found a seriously injured 39-year-old man in Lans, who later died in Innsbruck Hospital.

A car driver reported the accident at around 3.35 pm on Monday. It had happened on the Sistranser Straße near Lans. According to the witness, he found the victim lying seriously injured on the ground. The damaged e-scooter was lying next to him.

Witnesses and emergency services tried everything
The driver of the car, other road users and the emergency services carried out first aid measures until the emergency doctor arrived.

After initial treatment at the scene, the seriously injured man was taken to Innsbruck Hospital by the ambulance and the emergency doctor. However, the man succumbed to his serious head injuries in the late afternoon hours at Innsbruck Hospital.

Victim is a 39-year-old Czech
The deceased was a 39-year-old Czech national. No witnesses to the accident have yet been identified, which is why the exact circumstances of the accident have not yet been clarified.
