Motocross rider (26) involved in serious accident during race

A dramatic accident occurred on Saturday morning during training for the "Golden Bunny Race" enduro race in Eberstalzell (Upper Austria). A 26-year-old participant went off the track and crashed into a tree. The seriously injured man had to be flown to hospital by emergency helicopter.

The 26-year-old from Ranshofen was riding his motocross bike on the race track in Eberstalzell at around 11 a.m. on Saturday. On a straight, just before a wooded area, he suddenly veered off the track to the right for unknown reasons. He crashed his motorcycle into a tree. 

The seriously injured man from Innviertel was first treated by the following participants of the "Golden Bunny Race" planned for Sunday and then flown to the hospital in Wels by the crew of the Christophorus 10 emergency helicopter.
