Almost twice as fast as allowed on a motorcycle

The police in East Tyrol had to measure a massive speeding offense: A motorcyclist has lost his license for the time being.

During speed measurements on the B108 in St. Johann im Walde on Saturday at around 6.30 p.m., police officers discovered an enormous speeding offense: A 33-year-old Italian citizen was driving his motorcycle at a speed of 187 km/h - only 100 km/h would have been permitted.

Due to the massive speeding, the motorcycle was temporarily confiscated and the driver's license was also temporarily taken away.

Since March 1, 2024, the authorities in Austria have been able to confiscate vehicles after massive speeding - on the spot for a maximum of 14 days.
