Bastianini wins, Bagnaia and Marquez crash

Enea Bastianini won his first race of the MotoGP World Championship season on Saturday. The Italian Ducati rider won the sprint race at Silverstone ahead of his Spanish brand colleague Jorge Martin and Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia).

The Upper Austrian KTM team finished fourth and fifth with South African Brad Binder and Spaniard Pedro Acosta.

Two-time world champion and world championship leader Francesco Bagnaia retired in turn four after a crash, as did six-time champion Marc Marquez. The Italian Bagnaia now leads Martin by just one point ahead of the British GP on Sunday (14:00/live in the sportkrone.at ticker).
