Next step for natural gas drilling in Straßwalchen

The Australian-Austrian gas company ADX Energy wants to drill for natural gas in Straßwalchen. The company has now come a significant step closer to the project.

Natural gas could soon be drilled in Straßwalchen. The mining authority has approved a test drilling in the district of Rattensam in principle. However, there is still a problem with the nature conservation requirements. The operating company ADX Energy would also like to work at night and illuminate the well for this purpose.

There is no approval for this in the nature conservation notice. The operators still want to get this condition removed. The municipality is not really happy with the project, but has no right of objection. The procedures are not carried out by the municipality but by the mining authority.
